1. A
cylindrical container holding
black pepper. A pepperpot may be a
pepper grinder, which holds
peppercorns and includes a mechanism for grinding them, or a
pepper shaker, which holds (
bland) pre-ground pepper.
2. A sort of vegetable or meat stew containing pepper and dumplings.
3. A Dalek. When a Doctor Who fan says that Daleks look like pepperpots, s/he does not mean that they look like Monty Python members in drag -- despite the skirt bit -- nor that they look like stew. Rumour has it that the Daleks were in fact modeled after salt shakers, which is close enough.
