Bohemiandrive is a webcomic also known under the name Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life. It's made by Kit Roebuck. He rarely updates. (Don't be surprised when there aren't any updates for a year or longer, although he did a few new episodes recently). The webcomic is about the Universe in the future. In the future, robots take over all of our work. Humans get lazy and stop reproducing, hence the title, Nine Planets Without Intelligent Life.

The main characters in the comic are Chris and his alcoholic friend and colleague Ben: two robots who work in a factory that produces new robots. During work, they notice that the model of the parts they process has changed. Soon, they will be obsolete.

Normally, an unemployed bot would turn itself in for spare parts, but, fitted as they were with outlawed Bohemian Drive circuits, Chris and Ben chose a different future.

A bohemian drive circuit is a chip that is said to give robots something of a free will, to do what they want to do. However, in episode 76 it is revealed that the Bohemian Drive Circuit is in fact a placebo. It was an interesting twist; apparently the robots had had a free will all along. And of course, it was a very important detail concerning the philosophy behind the comic; it shows that the robots actually have something of a conscience, their decisions aren't simply rational but they also engage in wishful thinking. The robots are in fact very much like humans (Kit Roebruck stated he noticed his tendency to draw robots more and more like people with seams). The robots, for example, are capable of loving other robots.

The comic follows Chris and Ben as they go on a road trip from planet to planet. Each planet has a very clear theme, often related to the name of the planet. They start on mercury, but the comic doesn´t show much of mercury. As they quit their jobs, the first destination is Venus. Venus is, as to be expected, a planet where love(industry) has an important place; there are many 'strip clubs' (robots have strange ideas of erotica). On Venus they befriend two female robots (again, an important detail; apparently robots have genders too). Their next destination is earth. Earth hasn't changed much from how we know it, apparently robots didn't change the way they where programmed; they kept traditions made by humans (For example, busses don't drive on sunday). After leaving earth, they unintentionally end up on mars. When diplomatic artificial intelligence made an end to all wars, it was impossible to explain to the 'war bots' that they where obsolete. Because of that they were all brought to mars. Now, there is a continuous war on mars. Chris and Ben get into some trouble there, but they find a car and get the hell away from there.

As they search for the car's lighter, they accidently push the eject button, and they are launched into space. The only thing they can do is push off of each other so one of them will be launched toward an inhabited part of the universe, and the other (Chris) will just keep floating in space. After 25 years, Chris gets picked up by Ben.

They get to Ganymede, one of Jupiter's moons. There, some emphasis is placed on Ben's drinking problem. Next up, they seem to go to Jupiter itself. Where there´s a pretty neat ´episode´ on time travel. Some things happen then, before they go to Saturn. That´s as far as the comic goes right now.
