The question that will be put to the people of Australia on November 6, 1999. A referendum will take place in which the nation will decide one of two paths:
- To become a republic, replacing the roles of the Queen and Governor-General with a President elected by a two-thirds majority of Parliament, OR
- To stay as part of the Monarchy, with the Queen of England as our official head of state.
