I'd like to offer my two bits on this, being a native of a lovely little island smack-dab in the middle of the Caribbean. Over here, spanglish is pretty much our default language(at least in the more densely populated areas), where we just interchange Spanish and English freely, just letting the words come out however they will. I'd say there's no particular predominance of English over Spanish or vice-versa. Naturally, there's variations all over the place and what it's called depends on your particular place of residence in the world, I suppose.
