Making love to someone, usually a friend or an ex, not because of desire or affection, but because you feel sorry for them.
This is a Very Bad Idea (tm) because it either raises expectations you have no intention of fulfilling, or re-opens old wounds. Usually ends up much more painful than saying 'No'
