City lying to the East of Seattle. One of the fastest growing cities in Washington, Bellevue has come a long way from it's days as an agricultural center. The building of the 520 bridge and I-90 opened the area to development in the 1950's, and Bellevue grew into a bedroom suburb of Seattle. In the 1980's with the rise of Microsoft, located next door in Redmond, Bellevue has become a regional economic center in it's own right.
