Fact 3: What you are referring to is known as a elephant right religious morality conservative, or devout members of the Christian Coalition. Not a social conservative.

On the contrary, it is the conservatives who believe in smaller government and greater personal freedom and civil liberties. Recall gun control, unjust taxes, political correctness, hate speech legislation, public sector, and various other issues. Associating conservatism with religious fundamentalism is a blatant and false generalization, something people on the other side of the fence like to do. We're all guilty of mudslinging. Just admit it.

I seem to remember that the quote "for the children" is something far more often used by the gun control lobby than the Christian Coalition. Strangely, I have yet to hear "God's Law" from any conservative.
