A
subculture which has grown up around the
appreciation and
examiniation of
science fiction and
fantasy. Being very large, it is difficult to
generalize about fandom beyond this basic definition, but that has not stopped
members of fandom nor its
detractors (who are sometimes one and the same) from doing so.
