Whilst running
whoami can be a
enlightening experience, unfortunately most modern unix systems lack the far more useful
whereami and
whatamidoinghere commands.
These two
commands are the ones I always look for just after I've closed all my
browser windows, returned to my
shell, and tried to
work without thinking.
