伊勢湾

Ise Bay is a shallow bay off the southern coast of Japan between Mie and Aichi prefectures. Ise Bay gets its name from the city of Ise, located on the coast of the bay and home to Ise Shrine, the oldest and holiest shrine in the Shinto religion.

Ise Bay is famous for pearl farming and lobster fishing. Indeed, the Japanese word for "lobster" is Ise ebi (literally, "Ise shrimp").
