Dogfight is also the title of a 1991 movie starring River Phoenix and Lili Talyor. Set in 1963, the movie tells the story of Eddie Birdlace, who is about to be shipped off to Vietnam. He and three other friends, on their last night in the US, decide to host a dogfight, which is basically identical to hogging, only instead of finding the heaviest girl in the bar, they simply have to recruit an ugly girl and bring her to the bar with them. Whoever gets the ugliest girl wins the money.
Birdlace chooses Rose, a homely, heavyset girl who works in a diner, but she gets hip to the game. Birdlace feels bad and ends up taking her out on a real date, and they end up falling in love. Or something like that.
