Today,
this morning:
Logic decided to take a walk.

First putting on practical shoes and a sturdy jacket,
he walked slowly at first, then picked up speed.
He was down the block, around the corner with
a confident stride; chin up.
When he hit the invisible wall it was quite a shock-
leaving him humbled, bruised and bloodied nose.

Emotion had left it there of course,
unconcerned about consequence or propriety.
Feeling justified in leaving a tangible reminder of
who was, in fact, in charge.
