She is not posing, yet
I am drawing her figure, as she leans
on the windowsill, looking out

with crossed elbows for balance
faded jean legs close together under
unbuttoned shirt, gentle curves

Her hair trails her shoulders,
unkempt and windblown
a barometer of her relaxation

She is not posing, yet
my pencil embraces her shape;
every beautiful imperfection.
