Ulexite from Boron, California is also known as Television Stone, Television Rock or Television Ore. The crystals are arranged in long clear fibres resembing a bundle of fibre optics fused together. If you polish the stone so that there is a flat face on top and on bottom, you can see through the stone very clearly, and any images placed underneath the stone will seem to be projected on the top.
