A group of 17th century Cavalier Poets also known as "Sons of Ben". They dedicated their works to the revival of classical format in poetry. The "Ben" stands for Ben Johnson, whose works they idolized. They were also influenced greatly by John Donne as well as the much earlier Latin poets. The most famous members of the group are Robert Herrick, John Suckling, and Richard Lovelace.
