Stateside is canuckian argot
for the United States
. Generally used in casual conversation to refer to the states
as a destination, most commonly for short trips:
"I'm heading stateside for the weekend, visiting family in Boston
"This nice man is giving me $200 to take this duffel bag
are stateside for a three game roadtrip
I suppose it's canadian equivalent would be provinceside
, but I don't think that will enter common usage anytime soon.
