Sportbikes are motorcycles with a riding position in which the rider is leaned over forward with his/her feet behind them. Sportbikes are perceived as faster than any other kind of motorcycle, though really speed has much more to do with engine displacement and tuning than ride position.
Because of this connection with speed, sportsbikes have an image of being crotch-rockets which are only ridden by squids, but actually, there are many respectable motorcyclists who prefer them.

A breed of motorcycle that leans towards mimicking the high-performance superbike style of riding and racing through agility and speed.
Most popular models are produced by Suzuki, Kawasaki, Honda, Ducati, Aprilia, and most recently, Harley Davidson has gotten into the mix with the Buell line.
