Old-fashioned precursor to today's trendy coffee shops. These were once focal meeting places for American teenagers, mostly during the 1950's. Cokes were inexpensive, and one could enjoy a whopping cheeseburger without guilt because we had not yet learned about the evils of cholesterol. Most booths had a mini-jukebox right at the table, and if the shop wasn't in a religiously oppressed community, the patrons were free to sing and/or dance.
