So-called "smooth jazz" isn't really jazz at all. It's easy listening, and it is, in fact, a crime against music. Most every song consists of a guitarist and/or keyboardist and/or saxophonist/etc. (i.e. Kenny G) soloing over a drum machine. The music is mind-numbingly repetetive and lacks even the slightest degree of structure.

I'm trying to break my dad of the habit of listening to it...
