Smart drugs,
nootropics were a
1990s fad - the concept was of chemicals that not only made you feel good, but were actually good for you, made you a better person, made you smarter. It supoposedly wasn't irrationally exuberant cyberpunk science fiction, or not entirely.
Piracetam and
vasopressin were touted as the leading edge of this brave new breed of
nutraceuticals. But the big wave never materialised.
Smart drugs are drugs lite. Drugs without the drugs.
It's a fatally flawed concept. If this stuff really worked, it wouldn't be legal.
