Abbreviated as SMOP, this term is used when a hacker has thought about the design of a program for a bit, and believes he has it all worked out in his head and just has to sit down and actually code it, supreme in the knowledge that he has covered all eventualities and there are no hidden little gotchas just waiting to kick him in the assumptions.
