A
person who is shallow-minded tends to not
think before
doing. This usually results in people becoming very
annoyed at that person. People can be shallow-minded in many different ways. One
example is people who care more about
appearence than
personality. For instance, people who won't consort with someone just because they happen to have
acne. Another example of shallow-mindedness is
blurting something out without thinking about how it will hurt the others in the conversation.
People who are shallow-minded can change, I have seen several. But in general they are not pleasant people to hang around if you don't have the patience to deal with their shallow mindedness.
Being shallow-minded is different from being stupid. People who are shallow-minded can be very intelligent, yet simply not use that intelligence in their day-to-day lives.
