The Scientific Perspective is a viewpoint which assumes that all natural phenomena can be understood through the Scientific Method and/or the Empirical Method. Some extend the Scientific Perspective to include all human and religious phenomena as well. The Scientific Perspective is a hallmark of most SF sub-genres and marks the primary dividing line between SF and fantasy, a division which blurs in the SF sub-genres of science fantasy and space opera.
