A variety of
tomato that is more
meaty and less juicy then the regular vine
tomato. It is most commonly found
canned (
whole,
cubed,
crushed, or in
paste form) in the
grocery store. Used primarily in
cooking, especially
pasta sauces.
I belive they are the same thing as plum tomatoes (but I could be wrong).
