Recitative

Motion is a kind of speech:
a vector, a not-at-rest.

Cut out the stone of a peach
and bury it. The mind is likewise blessed

with growing-back, the power
of the vegetative; a thin streak

of shoots. The pink flower
that is the peach's face speaks.
