The fourteenth century of the common era, considered as a period in Italian art, specifically the art of Florence, Sienna, and a few other Tuscan townships. Giotto is the best known of these, but it was also the era of the Duomo (the great dome of the cathedral, made famous in "Silence of the Lambs").
