In newspaper help wanted listings, PT is an abbreviation for "Part Time," a phrase that indicates that the company which placed the advertisement is seeking an employee for less than 35 hours of work per week. This is in contrast to FT ("full time") work, which consists of 35+ hours per week in service of the man.
