A Plant Nerd is basically someone who is so obsessed and knowledgable about plants that they can get excited and blabber about them for hours, much to the dismay of others nearby. Plant nerds like to call plants by their scientific name and say words like glabrous and pubescent; words usually used to describe leaves and plant morphology. A plant nerd will probably have very strong feelings about a plant, and actually get angry if one they dont like is planted (for an example see my nodes on eucalyptus or heavenly bamboo.
