Technically, a job for which you work less than 40 hours in a week. Part-time jobs are like temp jobs, but you usually don't get one through an agency, and you don't have a fixed time at the part-time job. You probably don't get any benefits, the hours suck, and you have no hope of advancement.

Usually amounts to working somewhere in retail or food service (i.e., a McJob). A concept familiar to indigent college students everywhere, who work during the school year to pay for their education.
