Neopagans are pagans who follow a modern pagan path, and freely admit it. This is as opposed to paleopagans who follow a religion which has been practiced continuously back to prehistoric (or at least really old times), like some forms of Shamanism. This is also as opposed to the confused pagans (like a few of the wiccans I have met) who follow a modern path, but claim that it is the "old religion".
