A right which is considered fundamental to being human. The founding fathers of the United States of America apparently considered this to be life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I have seen some libertarians substitute property for the pursuit of happiness bit. Also called a God given right. These rights are different from artificial rights.

Some say natural rights don't exist.
