A pink or peach-colored beryl; first discovered in California in the early 20th century and named after J.P. Morgan, who was apparently a gemstone fancier. Easy to confuse with pink tourmaline or kunzite. Sometimes exhibits pleochroism; very rarely found growing in the same crystal with aquamarine. Not too commonly seen on the market.
