A persistent nickname (much to their chagrin) for students at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Massachusetts. It was allegedly began by female students at neighboring Amherst College, since MHC women frequently poach their menfolk.
Example:

"She's a MoHo"
"Oh I thought she went to Smith"

A gallinule (Notornis Mantelli) formerly inhabiting New Zealand, but now supposed to be extinct. It was incapable of flight. See Notornis.
