The midrange of sound that a speaker can produce, also the particular speaker cone(s) that handle the midrange. In home theatre systems, the midranges are usually 2"-5" in diameter, depending on what the rest of the speaker is like. If you are lucky enough to have enough money, you could buy a THX sound system in which the components, including speakers, are THX certified. Why? Because it sounds damned good.
