A very small type of cassette, used primarily in telephone answering machines and miniature recorders. It uses 4 mm tape similar to the compact cassette but the overall unit is much smaller (5 cm x 3.2 cm) and contains much less tape, which is recorded at a slower (hence denser) speed.
