MedicAlert is a
non-profit foundation established to serve people with severe allergies and other conditions which need to be identified in a medical emergency. MedicAlert members wear a bracelet or pendant with the MedicAlert telephone number and caduceus logo, a concise
medical summary, and a personal ID number.
Emergency responders worldwide are trained to look for this emblem. When they call MedicAlert with the ID number, they can be given detailed information on medications, allergies, and medical conditions, as well as physician and family contact information.
