An alloy with very bad electrical conductivity and very difficult to solder. Its nice property is low thermal conductivity. This is why it is used in dewars --- one can have electrical connection to experimental sample without transferring obnoxious amounts of heat to the heart of your dewar at 0.3K.

To solder, after cleaning of insulation wash in copious amount of acetone.
