Maes glanio could easily pass for a Welsh place name among those of us unfamiliar with the language. This coupled with the statutory requirement that all road signs in Wales are bi-lingual could be the source of confusion.
"Hey driver, I wanted to go to Cardiff Airport, not Maes Glanio Airport"
