JAVELIN DARTS™

OUTDOOR FUN FOR EVERYONE!
Javelin Darts may be played anywhere outdoors…at the beach…on an outing…
or in your own back yard.
RULES:
Javelin Darts is a game of skill. The object of the game is to score exactly 21
points, by getting your darts into, or closest to, the yellow circle. To do this,
follow these simple rules:
Two or four players can play.
First, place the 2 yellow circles on the ground, 30 feet from each other.
Stand behind, and to one side of, the circle.
Hold the dart in the palm of your hand.
Toss the dart at the opposite circle with a strong underhand motion.
Toss it with a high arc, to insure that it lands in an upright position.
SCORING:
1-2-3-4 or 6 points can be scored in each round. You must score
EXACTLY 21 points to end the game.
3 points are awarded for any dart in the circle; 1 point for a dart
closest to the circle.
Additional Scoring Methods:
1 point – closest to circle, but none in circle
2 points – 1 dart in the circle, minus 1 point if opponent is nearest circle
(3 minus 1)
3 points – 1 player with 2 darts in the circle and his opponent with one
dart in circle (6 minus 3)
4 points – player with 1 dart inside the circle, and his other dart is
nearest the circle
6 points – player with 2 darts in circle; opponent has none inside the
circle.
If your score for a round brings your total points over 21, the score for that round
should be deducted from your total score to that point, and you continue until
you attain a score of exactly 21 points. In order to win the game, you must score
exactly 21 points.
*A special feature of Javelin Darts is the player’s ability to
change the flight patterns of the dart.
There are two metal ring nuts on the Javelin Dart
shaft. There is one above the fin and one below the fin. By moving the 2 metal
ring nuts up or down the dart shaft, and by moving the fins up or down,
you can experiment with the fins in different positions in order to try to bring up your score.
Precision designed Javelin Darts are
practically indestructible under normal playing conditions.
However, should one of the fins be damaged, it can
easily be replaced by removing the nut from the shaft and sliding the fin off.
So your outdoor fun with Javelin Darts will not be spoiled, additional fins
may be purchased at 50¢ each postpaid and additional Javelin Darts may
be purchased at $2 each postpaid.
