Ka-tet is Stephen King's name for a group of people who are drawn together by fate (Ka) for a purpose. He uses the word mainly in the Dark Tower series to describe the main character Roland's band of gunslingers and friends: Roland himself, Eddie, Susannah, Jake, and Oy.

Stephen King describes Ka as a kind of sentient force of purpose that gives each of us a gentle nudge in the direction it wishes us to go. Ka-tet is the result of the binding of certain people together to serve Ka, for a purpose that may be unclear to those involved.
