An Irish Tradition which consists of showing affection/friendship/respect/etc for people by insulting (see: slagging) them. People visiting Ireland may be somewhat surprised by this practice.

Per my Aussie co-worker, this is also an Aussie tradition (which may well be rooted in that old Irish tradition, reference where Brits used send their old unwanted Irish - Down Under).

Weasle
Yank (a particular stinging insult)
