The counterpart to the outlane; this part of a pinball machine is a narrow chute that sends a ball out onto the flipper. Often the lane contains a rollover to award points or light some game feature for passing through the inlane. Separated from the outlane by a narrow divider, often topped with a post. Most games have two inlanes, one on each side, and just inside of the outlanes, but there are variations.
