Really, "housing development" is just a euphemism for "urban sprawl." Bulldoze the land and the trees and put up thousands of identical boxes with chemically-poisoned monoculture vegetation called "lawns," then sell them as "detached single-family homes." I'd love to detach them from the face of the earth.
