Heptatonic scales include all musical scales having seven pitches. The well-known major and minor (including the natural, harmonic and melodic variants) scales of Western music are heptatonic, as are many of the scales found at Exotic Scales. In the Equidistant Heptatonic Scale, each pitch is separated from its neighbors by the same difference in frequency, which comes out to almost 2/3 of a whole step.
