This is a potential fusion fuel
mix commonly floated by the fusion
community. It is superior to the deuterium/deuterium
and deuterium/tritium fuel
mixes used in current experimental fusion reactor
s because it does not produce neutrons
. However, it requires higher energies, and He3
is very rare on Earth
The reaction products are as follows:
helium-4 (alpha particle) at 3.6 MeV and
proton at 14.7 MEV

The wide spread in product energies makes it difficult to directly extract the reaction eneergy to electricity.
