Phenomenon seen in cartoons, comic strips, manga, and anime, in which an amorous or suddenly amorous character will get hearts in place of their irises, and may even start emitting hearts. Probably duplicable with those special effects contact lenses, but if they don't pulse madly, it's just no good.
