Half birthdays seem somewhat odd. The usual conception always seemed to be that your half birthday fell on the same day as your birthday, but six months separate. But then it struck me: what about the poor people born in uneven months? Does someone born on August 29th only get a half birthday during a leap year? When does someone born on December 31th celebrate their half birthday? Six months precisely seem a bit difficult to calculate, and somewhat pointless for a day so mostly meaningless.
