From Iceland.

The Hakarl, or Greenland Shark (Somniosus microcephalus). Poisonous when fresh. It's fermented for a few weeks, originally by being wrapped and buried, but now usually by being packed in an air-tight package. It is then hung to dry and get a good color for a few more weeks.

Eaten as is, like jerky.
