gyroscopic stability

(idea) by ism Sat May 06 2000 at 23:41:25
The property of an object that is spinning rapidly that causes it to remain in the same plane unless external forces act on it. Caused by the angular momentum of the rotation. An object that is denser near the perimeter of rotation will have greater angular momentum, and thus, greater gyroscopic stability.
