Summer camp, 1974. All our various groups were on an outing in the Blue Ridge Mountains, mingling for the first time. Our supervisor had us telling riddles. Some kid had one:

It must have touched my goofy nerve; I laughed, almost uncontrollably - I didn't know I had that kind of laughter in me.
